A safe environment to grow
We cannot always expect life to go smoothly, and we cannot control all that happens to us.
It is possible however to create a network of support and help for when times are difficult, as well as to share the highlights of our life.
Each young person at Adventure Education Sweden will have a 'best-fit' mentor and they will stay together throughout their journey with us. The mentor and mentee will meet regularly to discuss day-to-day issues , and this way we will create a bond between the young people and the mentor. It is our intention that as soon as the young person is ready we will meet in CREW teams to increase interpersonal skills and resilience.
With open communication created between school and families, a network of professional facilitators and a team of young people to support each individual, we will create an environment of care, empathy and encouragement for our young people to deal with lifes' twists and turns
How?
In collaboration with the young person, school, family and services we will create an Action Plan for each individual. This will look at their needs, abilities, dreams, goals and special requirements. Regular feedback from mentors, staff and the young person will enable us to monitor progress and create changes where needed.
